The foundation for the history of the Wilthen wine distillery was laid over 175 years ago. As early as 1842, the finest brandies of the highest quality were produced in the manor brewery of the Cathedral Chapter of St. Peter in Wilthen. Over the years, the quality of the brandies has steadily improved, and as early as 1900, Wilthen brandies won gold and silver medals at the World Exhibition in Paris. Wilthener remains committed to this tradition today, and in the cellars of this venerable distillery, brandies and specialties mature that are comparable to the world's finest cognacs.
